The saying ‘time flies’ certainly would sum up the last month here at Otter Valley HQ.
The new ice cream and parlour continues to develop at a wonderfully rapid pace, despite the rather awful wet weather we have had the builders don’t seem to be too delayed, which is lucky and credit to their positivity.
We have opened the summerhouse so it’s business as usual until we can move across – so wonderful to catch up with customers after our winters break – and of course to meet new faces too – we are so enjoying sharing our exciting progress of the build with you all.
This last week we had Ricotta and Cherry as our special, one of our more unusual creations, very popular indeed, if you are reading this and didn’t get to try it we will be sure to repeat it – so keep your eyes out for it on our Facebook page.
Reflecting on seeing this wonderful building develop in front of us, we certainly must note a rather special huge thanks to a part funding grant by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development – Making it Local, Leader Programme – who have given us opportunity to create our wonderful new build which will allow us to employ full time positions and help in turn to boost the rural economy. This programme and the team that underpin this, have been hugely supportive and for that we are hugely grateful. http://www.makingitlocal.org
I’ll be sure to pop back in the beginning of May for another update before we also start our events out and about.
